Just in case anyone missed the welcome [back] talks, this week we publicly launched the york.pub project; a brand new collaboration initiative that seeks to revitalise the society and extra-curricular opportunities within our department. We're very lucky to have 6 different Computer Science societies as well as a department full of passionate and knowledgeable staff but historically they've all been small, independent actors doing their own.

The york.pub project aims to change this; providing both a platform for collaborative, large-scale events and a single source of truth for everything that is going on in and around the department. Most importantly of all, the york.pub is about building a community among everyone within the department and with shared interests in our subject.
